Qld: Schoolgirl bitten by brown snake
A nine-year-old girl has been airlifted to Nambour General Hospital suffering froma suspected bite from a brown snake.
Energex Community Rescue helicopter pilot CREAGH MECHAM says the girl had been bittenon the foot outside the Sunshine Coast hinterland's Conondale School library at about11am (AEST).
He says she was a bit distressed and complaining about pain in her leg -- but shesettled down once she met her mother at the hospital.
Mr MECHAM says the girl is reported to be in a stable condition.
